Detailed Description

This two hour course provides an excellent introduction into Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Substances, with specific focus on Ammonia Anhydrous. It is tailored to those persons who are involved in the day to day use, storage of Ammonia Liquid/Gas.

Expected Outcomes: Upon completion participants will have knowledge of:

  • Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Substances by definition
  • Hazard Categories and definitions
  • Forms of Hazardous Substances
  • Exposure Controls
  • Harm Associated with Hazardous Substances
  • Specific Hazards of Ammonia Gas
  • First Aid Measures
  • MSDS for Ammonia Anhydrous, Interpretation and Study

Course Length: approx. two hours, including time for questions. Participants will complete a written assessment which is marked while participants are present. After completion a Certificate of Participation will be issued to each successful participant.

Suitable for all Workshop, Depot and Factory Personnel, Team leaders, Transport Drivers, Mechanics, Mobile Technicians, and/or anyone who uses, stores or transports dangerous goods and Ammonia Anhydrous.

Prices are charged at $75 +GST per participant, however, there is a minimum requirement of 10 persons, or $750 +GST per session.

Ecospill offers this course at our dedicated training rooms in Brendale, Brisbane and can also be conducted onsite at your premises. If your site is located outside of Brisbane metropolitan and surrounds, additional costs (travel/accommodation) and minimum numbers may apply.
