Benefits of Using Chemsorb 20L Absorbent

Why use ChemSorb compared to other absorbents? ChemSorb is tried and proven: it performs time and time again. When you have a chemical spill, you don’t want to waste any time getting it cleaned up. You most need an efficient absorbent in every way – Chemsorb 20L is the perfect one in a value-packed size.  It is easy to use, offers outstanding absorption and does the job well.

ChemSorb 20L is not as powdery as some other absorbents. It is an all-natural mineral product with high absorbency retention. So while it is light in weight, it is very dense and that density assists in outstanding absorbency. Once you use ChemSorb, you’ll never look to another chemical absorbent powder again.

Need a Different Size?

How do I use Chemsorb to clean up a Chemical Spill?

First of all, before you tackle any liquid spill, you need to ensure you’re wearing the correct PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the type of liquid you’ve spilled.  Safety first, make sure you don the correct PPE.  The next thing to consider is containing the spill to stop it from spreading.  For larger spills, you will most likely need a containment boom or land sock.  Containing a large spill adequately minimises the risk of environmental harm and gives you time to clean it up correctly.  However, for small or medium-sized spills, the most typical you’re likely to deal with in an average workshop setting, you can use the Chemsorb powder to contain the spill. Now that you have PPE on, simply pour Chemsorb powder around the outside edge of the spilled liquid.  This will help stop the spread.  Continue until you’ve covered the whole of the liquid material.  Grab a broom or brush and pat down the powder to help work it in.  The particulate will quickly absorb all the liquid.  The only thing left to do is to shovel up the spent absorbent into a bag or container.  And remember, make sure you dispose of it correctly in a sealed bag, keeping in mind your local disposal regulations.
